Our People Family Style

There’s the snow, the terrain, the skiing itself, but what truly differentiates Selkirk Wilderness is the people who work here. Many were born and raised in the region, having grown up working for us, in tune with the mountains we operate in and how to best ensure a safe, comfortable, yet exhilarating vacation.

They know that for our clients a week here represents some of their most cherished experiences. image In fact, everyone at SWS is focused solely on this fact. From the food to apres ski, the off-season to the deepest run of your life, we’re here for you to ensure that your every whim is met, whether it be perfecting powder skiing technique or pushing your limits in a mountain environment unique to backcountry skiing.

It starts with the Drury’s, a family as deeply committed to their clients as they are each other and their staff. People often spend a good portion of their lives working here. Rich characters like our lead guide Jason Remple. A fourth generation Meadow Creek local, Jason started with SWS as a dishwasher, then a cat driver, a tailgunner and now our lead guide. A wonderfully modest skier who knows Meadow Mountain like the back of his hand, Jason is the epitome of what it means to work for Selkirk Wilderness. It’s very much a family up here, one you’re more than welcome to join.
