We had a group of 14 shredders up here for our last day of the season at SWS.  Conditions were EPIC for late March.  Blower powder at higher elevations and soft and buttery everywhere in between.  Even as I type in the last report up here at the lodge,  it’s literally “barfing snow” outside - wow, could we ask for a better day to wrap up on!  We are lucky up here on Meadow Mountain!

Thanks to everyone for the good times, big jumps, little jumps, tomohawks, yard sales, short & long stories, games of crud, and laughs all around!  We wish you a stellar summer and we looking forward to sharing some of our secret stashes with you all next season.

Joe Schwartz ACMG Asst. Ski

Joe first came to SWS in 1999 as a high school student on a work placement program, and liked it so much he pursued his guiding certifications, and is now an ACMG Assistant ski guide. Joe currently splits his time between the Kootenays and Vancouver, where he is hard at work in BCIT’s School of Business Marketing Management program.
In the summer Joe is a superduperbikestar. He has had segments in bike movies, covers of magazines worldwide, has competed in EXTREME contests, and has travelled to many interesting corners of the world with his bicycle.
Joe is an experienced bike coach, and runs private clinics and camps in Calgary and Whistler. Guiding takes up a portion of his summer as well. Joe works with Big Mountain Bike Adventures leading downhill bike trips in Switzerland every August.
