Environmental Efforts

The lodge is powered by its own micro hydro system – something SWS takes great pride in. At SWS we buy everything as locally as possible. Most of our vegetables and meats come from Meadow Creek and the surrounding area.

imageOur compost is delivered to the valley weekly and is used to feed the animals at the farm where we buy our organic chicken and pork. We recycle all cans, plastic, glass and paper. We have eliminated paper towels in the washrooms to cut down on paper consumption. Small “one time use” cloth hand towels are used instead, and are then laundered. All of the soap and cleaners are biodegradable.

We continue to make every effort to reduce our environmental foot print.
