SWS Runs of the day

Bunga Bunga

Named after a joke which one of your guides may or may not be willing to tell you, this run starts on a broad flat ridge and descends through several short rolling pitches of varying steepness and tree density. There are options for air time along some of the rock cliffs if snow conditions allow, and if there is a want or need to defy gravity. After a short traverse and a delightful romp through an old burn, the main event presents itself. Widely spaced old growth Engelmann Spruce and Subalpine Fir dominate this steep north facing slope. Either lolly gagging down a more mellow line or free fall skiing down an aggressive line, it is a magical experience in an exceptional place. The left side of Bunga Bunga is on Allan’s list of top five favorites.  Wide frosted grins are a common sight at the bottom.
