Turkey Salad

From near tree line, Turkey Salad is a south facing slope with mostly widely spaced trees and a relatively mellow pitch. It was named for the post run state of a few somewhat unstable skiers after a run in slightly less than ideal snow conditions. Early in the season, when the sun angle is low and later in the season shortly after a storm, this run harbors some of the finest easy tree skiing on the mountain. The snow is creamy soft and the lines open up below you like the automatic door at the grocery store. It might not be a long run, but at least it’s short.
